Born Where the Desert Meets the Atlantic

Swakopmund sits at the edge of the Namib Desert — the oldest desert on earth — where rust-red dunes tumble straight into cold Atlantic swells. It's one of the most unlikely surf spots on the planet. That's exactly why we love it.

The Story

Sunny Style Surf Co. was born in 2026 in Swakopmund, Namibia, out of a simple obsession: radical surf culture, retro aesthetics, and the wild beauty of the Skeleton Coast. We fuse the neon nostalgia of 80s and 90s surf culture with 8-bit pixel art, because the best things are a little retro and a little weird.

We're a print-on-demand brand — which means every piece is made to order, with zero waste, and shipped directly to you anywhere in the world. No overstock. No landfill. Just radical gear made when you want it.

Why Swakopmund?

Most surf brands come from California, Australia, or Portugal. We come from the Skeleton Coast — a place so remote and wild that Portuguese sailors once called it the Gates of Hell. The Benguela Current pushes cold, powerful swells up from Antarctica. Whales breach offshore. Desert foxes watch you wax your board. There is nowhere else like it on earth, and that energy lives in everything we make.

The Aesthetic

Retro surf. 8-bit pixel art. Neon sunsets over sand dunes. Lightning bolts. Palm trees. The pixelated Great Wave. We take the visual language of 80s and 90s surf culture and run it through a pixel art filter — because it looks radical, and because we do what we want.

Dunewear

That's our promise. Every piece we make is built to carry the spirit of Swakopmund's surf scene to wherever you are in the world. Wear it at the beach. Wear it in the city. Wear it while you listen to synth-wave and pretend you're riding a pixelated wave at sunset.
